Create A High Converting Landing Page for Small Business Campaign

My client, a small business situated in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, needed a landing page created for their first online marketing campaign.

They were new to the online marketing game, and fairly new at online sales.

The Challenge

With limited funds, my client needed a landing page to direct traffic to from an SMS and social media campaign. The challenge for me as their consultant and project manager, was:

  1. To find an easy and fast way to create one landing page that would achieve a high conversion rate. This is because they did not want to spend too much paying me for my time to create the page.
  2. As it was the first real way I could prove to my client that they could trust me, I had to produce something that would get results, fast.

The Solution

After researching the options that would be the most suitable for my client, I decided on using a landing page builder. This meant that I could simply find a template I thought could work, and tweak it according to my client’s target audience.

All it would cost them would be my time to design it, and the monthly cost of the landing page builder.

This is a screenshot of how the landing page looked:

The Results

On day 3 of the campaign, the landing page boasted a conversion rate of 46.2%. Conversion in this case, was the amount of landing page visitors that were sent by the landing page, to the product page on my client’s website where the purchases were made.

The average conversion rate for landing pages is 2.35%.

Mission accomplished.
